Dr. Kwang-Wu Kim

Kwang-Wu Kim, D.M.A., is the president and chief executive officer of Columbia College Chicago.  He is the tenth president in the 125-year history of the college.  Appointed by a unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees, President Kim has served in this capacity since July 1, 2013.

A native Chicagoan with over thirty years of experience as a performer, teacher, and administrator, President Kim is an outspoken advocate for the arts and a proponent of expanding the role of creative practice in society, and he is deeply committed to preparing students to act as creative agents in society.

Stanley Wearden, Ph.D.

Dr. Stanley T. Wearden has been Senior Vice President and Provost at Columbia College Chicago since July 1, 2014. Previous to his current position, Wearden served as Dean of the College of Communication and Information at Kent State University. While at Kent State University, Wearden was one of the earliest developers of online courses. He also taught Journalism and Mass Communications for 20 years.

Wearden has published many research articles, including investigations of television news accuracy, portrayals of women in advertising, the role of minorities in college media, Internet credibility, and the use of tablet devices for news delivery. He received two large research challenge grants from the Ohio Board of Regents.

Robert Green

Rob Green is Vice Provost for Digital Learning at Columbia College Chicago, pushing the envelope in higher education, arts and technology. Rob is interested in dynamically changing the way students learn and consume information. His particular focus is turning artistically-inclined students into savvy entrepreneurs, forging the fusion of tech and business into a highly customizable multimedia arts curriculum.

Rob is the former COO/CFO of the award winning Berklee Online, the Continuing Education division for the Berklee College of Music, and is currently shaping Columbia College’s online arts courses and programs that allow students to learn key business and creative skills from anywhere in the world. Additionally, Rob has 20 years of experience in technology based business.
